Doyita, a tele-film directed by Naresh Bhuiyan was telecast on RTV Bangla.

The film follows three young characters -- Doyita, Rumi and Disha. Doyita and Rumi have been friends since childhood. Their parents are friends with each other as well.

Eventually Rumi realises he is in love with Doyita but before he can come clear about his feelings, Rumi’s parents let him know that they would like him to marry Disha. Raised in US, Disha is Rumi's cousin and she moves to Dhaka so that she can get to know her husband better.

Rumi tells Doyita about his feelings for her but Doyita does not feel the same way. Feeling dejected, Rumi decides to marry Disha. Once Doyita notices Rumi and Disha becoming more acquainted with each other, she realises she has feelings for Rumi as well.

Aupi Karim, Srabosti Dutta Tinni and Anisur Rahman Milan had played the lead roles in the tele-film.

The plot is intriguing, moving and complicated. The story of Akash Ki Choya Jai begins when six friends meet just after completing their Masters examination. The series is involved with the major developments that occur in life of the six friends once they complete their studies and enter into the real world of life.

The main characters in the drama series are Sajal, Joy, Palash, Rini, Lata and Rumpa. Sajal falls in love with Rumpa but Rumpa is engaged to another guy. Lata’s parents are divorced and her father gets remarried. Lata declares that she is pregnant but does not reveal the name of her secret lover. Joy, a very good student, is tired of struggling to get a job.

On the other hand, Rini gets a job but her boss shows affection towards her. Palash tries to suppress his mental sufferings though he is a cheerful and an open minded guy. The characters of Akash Ki Choya Jai meet again in a year and find that many things have changed. They realize, however, that the sky can be reached through love, trust and confidence.
